1.2 Product Introduction

PIS is a kind of power solution integrated various functions and can provide necessary power management and control function in communication sites. PIS-O (outdoor power integrated system) has provided the following functions: diesel generator monitoring management,  ATS 3-power supply switch (2 diesel generators,1 commercial power), 3 to 2 phase selector, intelligent non-contact isolation voltage stabilizer, ACDB power distribution unit,  lighting & surge absorber, GSM short message control and alarm, theft-proof machine room, fire alarm etc. PIS is controlled by a multi-processor structure in which the processors are independent yet interconnected. The display interface is a 128*64 LCD display through which the parameters of the PIS can be displayed and configured with high integration and a small volume.

 

1.4 Working Principle Description

PIS is a 3 power integrated system (1 commercial power, 2 diesel generators). When the commercial power is normal ATS will automatically choose it and provide it to the load after using the 3 to 2 phase selector to choose 2 desirable phases of power and stabilizing them by AVR. Even under input power phase-loss condition this could guarantee the output of AVR. When the commercial power is down the PIS will detect the voltage of the batteries. Before the voltage meets the requirement of the load the diesel generator monitoring system will automatically start diesel generator 1 and ATS will choose the running diesel generator to supply the power. When the set running time of diesel generator 1 is up, diesel generator 2 will start. During the running of the diesel generator, if any failure is detected the other diesel generator will be started. Diesel generator 1 and 2 is each others spare generator and will run alternatively. Once the commercial power is back to normal the diesel generator will be turned off and the power supply will be switched to the commercial power.

PIS has a complete protection measures: lightning absorber, surge protection, over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection, overload protection, short circuit protection, super-high and super-low frequency protection; the protection of low diesel pressure, high water-temperature, low diesel surface, over-speed and low-speed for the diesel generator; fire alarm, entrance guard and temperature protection for the machine room.

    With the GSM short message control and alarm function, any above failures can be reported to the administrator and be controlled immediately through GSM short messages.
